You Will:

  • Provide compliance oversight, general environmental review, and permit assistance and advice to the mills and facilities.
  • Participate in environmental compliance audits.
  • Recognize an event or circumstance that is not in compliance (or is a potential non-compliance) with permit requirements and/or regulations and takes appropriate corrective action. This includes all media (air, solid and hazardous waste, water) and encompasses both administrative findings and field observations.
  • Maintain records, review, analyze, compile reports, and summarize information from mills and outside sources, including spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Provide advice and assist business in complying with environmental requirements, obtaining permits, implementing systems, and participate in capital planning and construction of engineered solutions for environmental problems.
  • Support negotiations with regulatory staff regarding monitoring, reporting and permit-related requirements.
  • Direct environmental due diligence for property transactions and review Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessment reports.
  • Develop company policies and procedures concerning waste and emissions discharges and regulated material control ensuring safe and efficient quality operations of all facilities.
  • Analyze impact of new regulations and legislation on policy and procedures.
  • Develop environmental training materials and conduct environmental training.
  • Support evolving ESG initiatives and associated regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • This position does require travel up to 25% of the time.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or sciences
  • 5 years of environmental compliance experience
